The weeklong training covers the aspect of planning, site selection, field management pollination, and Bourbon method of Curing pods now practicing in other vanilla growing countries to produce quality to meet international standard.

The training was conducted by Highlands Vanilla Project (HVP) a service provider based in Goroka specialists in Vanilla training.  HVP has conducted similar trainings and workshops in CS Bihute, and helping local farmers in the Highlands and Momase region.

During the Certificate presentation Bundaira Commander Chief Inspector Timbi Kaugla praised the bold move taken by the CJLU for identifying and selecting Bundaira as its venue and location. He said such training is vital and will help prisoner to sustain themselves in the village when they leave the prison camp. He praised HVP & CJLU and appeal to them to consider helping other prison camps in the country.

The community justice liaison unit is a major link between the formal law and justice agencies effectively engaging with civil society organizations to deliver law and justice services to the country. Such joint efforts provide a real touch to the national law and justice policy and plan of action and the sectoral strategic framework.
