Ombudsman queries status of reports

The Ombudsman Commission has demanded the status of the some of the country's high profiled reports. Ombudsman John Nero said this week that the country was waiting for the implementation of both the Police Review and the Guns Recommendations.
"What has happened to these two reports? Why it was not tabled in parliament before the elections. We need to have answers to these reports," said Mr Nero.
He added that with the elections around the corner, the country needs to know if these reports, especially recommendations in the Gun Report will be implemented.
Mr Nero said these two reports were pertinent and every opportunity to ensures that they were implemented was important to the peaceful society.
"We have to make sure our people have answers to these reports. Otherwise, it will be a waste of time to conduct these reports," said Mr Nero.
He also added that a lot of resources were committed to the two reports, and it was fair if their status was made public.
